Ah. It is 9/7. 4-25 is a good range and the turrets don't look as tall as on the LRP S5.

What do the "G" and "R" numbers on the parallax represent? Just curious. Have not seen that before.

*Edit* Just thought it through a little. Is it for the lighted reticle? G being green 5 is the level of brightness? Same for R as red?

The turrets look like they resemble the Conquest line more so than the LRP S5. But maybe that picture is a little deceiving.

With an advertised weight of 36.7 oz, I presume it is primarily competing against the ATACR class of rifle scopes?

I’m not sure I follow the “this scope is competing with this scope” thought process. It has a great feature set at a very respectable price. I’ll give my thoughts on it after some time with it but in the mean time others can decide the pros and cons of the feature set vs weight vs price.

The NF ATACR is arguably a top tier scope and the best combination of glass quality and reliability in the NF lineup. But, right or wrong, most think they are heavy relative to other scopes for their performance. This new line of Zeiss scopes seems to be of comparable weight and capability. Also, very likely a top tier scope. That is all I am saying. It is good to have such great options. I am glad to see more FFP options from Zeiss and looking forward to the reviews.

Hello..New guy here. Learning the site and enjoying all the great info. Also new to zeiss as I just purchased a v6 5-30. Watched Ryan's review and figured it was worth a shot for my 300wm build to take west next year(hopefully). I still tho always wonder if I should get an ATACR due to knowing the reliability is there. Considering unloading the zeiss and just going with the NF. Glad to be able to get pro's opinions and the knowledge here! Thanks to all!

I have done ok with it and took an antelope at 910. The reticle is really nice for shooting tight groups on high power. I think for those that prefer a ffp it is for sure a great option. But the testing of the mechanics is still in progress. Am I going to change to a ffp, I doubt it. I can run a sfp just fine.

I know a true test of the mechanics will take time to run it through its paces but what are your initial thoughts on the build quality. Turret feel? Zoom ring? Etc.

Build quality is great. It looks and feels like a quality optic. Turrets feel good. Zoom ring is fine but I didn't even put the throw lever on. I like the fact it has 3 positions, that is a great idea so you can put it where you want it or out of the way of a bolt handle or something. But I feel it is too tall. It is like an inch or more tall and that to me would be cumbersome. But I do have a hack saw. LOL. I have been using NF for so long, and I trust them so much, it is just really hard for me to get comfortable with anything else until it earns the trust.

I don't think it is very thick and the center floating dot makes for a very fine aim point. You can really shoot some groups with it.

We questioned some things and we are returning the scope to Zeiss in Germany for them to determine if there is an issue with the scope or mounts. And we are doing some more testing of the other we have. That is all we know at this time.

I hope they dive into with good results. I have the big SR3 and looking forward to turning the turrets. Been doing barrel break in and zero so far.
