Nice It will be tough to top that goat! This will end up being a guide on the homepage. We hope to have the 300WM done soon to see the basic outline.

One mule deer buck taken at 300 yards. First shot a little low throw one leg, bottom of the brisket (all bone). Second shot at 40 yards front on through the chest turning insides a bit gooey. 61 rounds through the barrel then sold the rifle to an LRO member.

Two mule deer, one antelope and a coyote taken with this rifle and load. The first mule deer was taken with two shots. First shot, 200 yard Texas heart shot, second anchored him on the run. The second mule deer taken by a friend using my spare rifle and tired of his. Heart shot at 200 yards. He went 10 yards maybe. 571 rounds through this rifle's barrel.

I've since modified this rifle with a 3.100" Wyatt's Baney box. Have not tried it in real live situations but it cycles well just testing it. I'll move the bullet closer to the lands where it shot better rather than keeping it short to fit in the old mag box.

Seriously sticky cases after two firings. Accuracy is consistently between 1/4 and 1/3 minute. Temp stability is excellent under 80 degrees. Between 80 and 90 degrees velocity picks up slightly but noticeably as noted above; above 90 I don’t shoot it anymore until I draw a tag for those conditions in which case I will revisit and drop charge accordingly. The rifle loves the 2930 ish velocity.

Medium action length
Rock creek 24” 8 twist barrel
.188 freebore
156 berger
3.010 COAL (I’d have to double check that)
Hornady brass
210M primer
58.0 gr H1000
2875 FPS

I’m on my fifth firing on this brass, trimmed to min spec after 4, and have no bolt lift or sticking issues. I’ve also shot this load from low teens to 90 degrees with no issues.
