Either will work when the user understands their particular system but I believe MOA is still better for most hunters. Tell us what you think!

MOA for everything in my world. I speak the language of Mil. They both are angular units of measure and the verbal is similar to expressing Standard versus Metric. Both have their applications and places.

MOA for hunting I agree 100%. I find it funny that we inter mix the measurements so often. Range in yards, hold in mils, group size in inches...

Good article.

I served in the military, learned and used the MRAD system in the service, but still use MOA on all my hunting rifles. I started with MOA as a kid back in the 70s when I first started hunting and just thought it was more natural. Thanks for explaining and justifying my later decision to continue to use MOA when hunting. With all the new trends in shooting, as an old guy, I was beginning to think I was doing it all wrong!

I shoot both. To me it is irrelevant which system as long as you are comfortable with it. In theory I think for competitive target shooting (non-PRS/NRL) MOA with 1/8 click turrets is better.
