New to suppressors and looking for recommendations for a mountain hunting rifle application. I am looking for a light weight and compact suppressor. Just looking to lower levels to safe hearing levels and slight recoil reduction as an added benefit. Currently looking at the Thunderbeast Ultra 5 or Ultra 7, Silencer Central Banish, and the new Gunwerks 6+ Titanium. I like the modularity of the Gunwerks although I do not know that it is really needed. Thanks in advance.

The TBACs are considered the gold standard for light weight and precision. I have used gen 1 Ultra 7s for years and now own a gen 2. They are great for hunting. But I will also say that the Nomad-L is amazing for sound suppression and precision on my 308 trainer, so the Nomad Ti should also be considered.

I also have one of the nomad cans on my short list. The reduction of the L is impressive. There is a titanium version as well, but like all titanium things it costs a fair bit more. If you're on a budget, plenty of things cheaper which will take the edge off. If you want to go without hearing protection and have sensitive ears, I'd do a lot of research. PewScience has independent data on many (but not all) of the cans you listed.

I've been very happy with my gen1 ultra 9 in 6.5 mm on my 6.5 saum.

I'm getting ready to order another suppressor and I'm leaning towards the dominus which comes in at 6.25". Should be great for hunting which is my primary use.

Haven't heard great things about the banish or silencer central in general. I have a tbac 5 that I love for hunting. It doesn't reduce recoil or noise quite as good as my sico omega but it does a surprisingly good job for the size and weight. It is amazingly small. That said, if it were my first can I would lean towards getting something a bit more robust and less specialized. The ones you mentioned are good. I would add the dead air nomad TI, tbac dominus, KGM r30k, and cgs hyperion K to your list to research.

TBAC.
I own an Ultra 9 .308, Ultra 7 6.5mm, and Dominus .308. I will be getting an Ultra 5 6.5mm next year.
