Per Ladd thread to compare two competing range finding binos with very good ballistic solvers imbedded.
I never had any issue with the input but it was on a cycling display. The Gen 2 is all on one display and is much quicker to get the info. The revic gen 1 work great but the wind input is a little time consuming for me. Maybe it's different in the gen 2
JapanThe new Tract is out for pre-order and sold out very fast. The Tract is 37oz vs 32oz for the Revic. They are pretty much the same ize. The Revics range finder goes out quite a bit further. The Tract has onboard environmental sensors. I could not find anything in the Revic product page on this point. Does the Revic have onboard temp and pressure?
Tract is $1,999 vs Revic at $2,945. The Tract has a big downside in my mind, made in China. Anyone know where the Revic is made?

Yes the binos have the pinning feature. Right now the pinning feature works with a number of mapping apps. The Tract boys are attempting to reach out to ONx to work with their App.I was going to upgrade my binoculars to the image stabilization type, but now am thinking maybe range finding binos instead. The new leupold and Revic binos have some sort of “pinning” feature, which I think could be handy at times. Does the tract have that feature?
Yes his app is way more friendly than Litz’s AB Quantum app after their update. Also James at Eagle Ballistics which I don't know at all, but has a lot of youtube how too's and he comes across to me as someone that says it how it is. (no bull) I purchased his ballistic app about 4 months ago and I will say out of all the ballistic app's I've used which is almost all of them none even come close to his with future's and easy to use and very accurate. So that being the case for me I had to preorder on the first round. We will see.

I got a chance to use the Revic last evening. Loaded the data for my 6.5 PRC range rifle into the binos from the App. Went into the menu and adjusted everything to my preference. Both these activities were quite straightforward and intuitive. Went out to run our PRS course. At the first stand I got the Kestral out to measure wind speed along with observation of speed and direction set that into the Binos, very easy to do. Used the setting for environmentals as measured by the Binos. Finding the targets was easy, the glass is very good, however it was mostly sunny trending towards becoming cloudier (I started at 4:30 & shot until 7 at which time it started to rain). The only other time I ran the course the only thing I used to find the targets was my BR4 and with just the BR4 I had great difficulty finding the targets. Ranging a target was very easy, repeatable and accurate. The ballistics solutions were spot on, in fact I didn't miss a shot until the 1,008 yard shot off the downed tree trunk. (later found that , my suppressor had loosened a bit I have to be better with that) I even managed first shot hits on the woodchuck and prairie dog at 500ish yards. Based on first use Revic has a winner with this product particularly given the price versus the competition.

You mean tract, correct?
How do they compare optically to the Zeiss SFL? The SFL have stellar optical quality.
Take this for what its worth as I have old eyes and my comparison was not setting up on tried pods bouncing back and forth. Or sunrise/sunset comparison. I compared by picking up and setting down looking at wild purple flowers in my dark woods with some sun light coming through in beams, green foliage, dead branches etc.
Both the Tract LRF and Zeiss SFL had good contrast, both were crisp, neither had any color aberrations that I noticed. The Zeiss were a tad brighter. Would it be enough to miss an animal? Probably not for my eyes.
After using the Tracts again last evening on the PRS course I am happy with the combination. The glass is good, the rangefinding is better than my BR4, the speed of solutions is faster than my BR4, the ballistic solutions are better than my BR4 (this of course could be influenced by my shooting on any given day), ease of use (adjusting wide speed and direction, changing menu options etc) is much, much better in the Tract LRF.
How do they compare to the BR10?
