Looking forward to your thoughts. Especially how these compare to the BR4. Both Revic units are arguably the pinnacle of range finding and shooting solutions.

I know this won't be a hasty review. As you are very thorough. Which is appreciated by many, as these units are not cheap.

I took my Revic Acura BLR10b rangefinding binocular out last time to the range shooting a couple rifles 650 yards and compared the ballistic solution to my Revic BR4 rangefinder as well as my Revic app and the data was consistent across the three. The glass is nice too. I have no complaints. The BLR10b even fits in all of my bino carry cases.

My Revic BLR10b came with me to the Snowy Mountain Rifles Long Range Academy Level 2 Development course which, if you did not follow along with the semi-live review thread, I would encourage you to do so. The BLR10b worked great. I added the profile to the app on my phone which was a 6.5 Creedmor shooting a 140 gr Berger Hybrid then sync'd it to the BLR10b, so easy. The class was meant to practice using the Kestrel 5700, which I did, but I was so much quicker on the Revic. The hold over it gave me was pretty much spot on for elevation, maybe a touch high the first two days. But, using the Kestrel to true the muzzle velocity at 1200 yards the velocity went from 2930 to 2957 when my hits were about 4" high. I really learned how to use the Kestrel there but I was very impressed with the BLR10b. My shots were consistent from 400 to 900 hunts recording first shot impacts on everything in that range. The first two at the 1200 yard target were off over the corner of the diamond by a touch which the wind call. Correcting a 1/2 moa my 3rd and 4th rounds were on center but high.

My next order of business is to learn to input the wind into the BLR10b because it was so fast and accurate giving me the hold over, it would be so much better for me if I had the wind part of it. Out of the 3-day class I think I shot about 40 rounds with a few misses here and there but most on target thanks to the BLR10b. This bino rangefinder will be with me on a lot of hunts in the future.

Furman, I am looking forward to your reviews on these. I'd be interested to know how they are at ranging a 12" target that has nothing behind it for 50-100 yards. I'm also interested to know how they do in light snow, light rain, and light fog.

You will get the precise range to target 100% of the time.

Good explanation of the windage adjustments. I wish I studied up a little more for the class with SMR, I would have used it for the wind holds.

I have been playing with these a lot. Knowing button management very well at this point, I timed myself for powering on the unit entering a wind vector, and speed-taking a range, and getting a firing solution, its 10 to 12 seconds. This is 2x faster than the kilo2400. I also timed entering a new profile with the blue tooth on. With my phone unlocked I opened the app synched the bino and entered the profile in 5 seconds. The only improvement would be a voice command. Maybe Revic can design a laser that can read the wind. All joking aside these will be hard to beat for hunting in the foreseeable future. Also, the compass heading is matching my high-end compass and the Kestrel Elite.John

In post#5 you said you used the Kestrel to true your muzzle velocity which obviously was part of the school and how to properly use your tools. My question is in the Revic App there's a section for Truing your profiles, So could you have made the same correction in that part of the app accomplishing the same thing? Or am I understanding that section of the app incorrectly?........Ron

I just returned from a New Mexico antelope hunt and used these exclusively. On opening morning we discovered a true giant that went undetected during scouting. We spotted a group of 12-15 does and a giant buck rutting hard. They we’re moving about the chollas cactus and the buck was looking over the top directly at me.I entered the far mode and ranged over the cactus and got my range just under 500 yards and got my dope immediately.Waited for the buck to clear the does and cactus and sent a 180 Berger hunter on its way.Crushed him.You can see the video on the Salmonriversolutions IG page. The buck has 8” bases and is 8.5” under the prongs with 15.5” matching horn length's.I credit the ultra fast dope from the Revic binoculars for the harvest. He was dead within 2 minutes tops of spotting him. I will be chasing Aoudad in Texas in October with these.John

I've been debating on using a magnetic Bino harness for the Revic Bino. I started out using an Alaskan Guide Creations harness until today. I did a 5-mile hike with the Revic in a marsupial harness and while on the mountain the compass calibration held true. When I returned home the calibration was off 20-30 degrees, I recalibrated and it is holding true. I will not run them in a magnetic harness again. If you are using a magnetic harness make sure you are checking all is good. Back to the AGC.John

I forgot to add I had a Kestrel Elite in a marsupial zippered pouch next to the bino compartment and the compass will not recalibrate . It has to go in for repair. The magnets on the marsupial are strong as hell. Marsupial does have a warning on the magnet effect. Nothing like breaking things while doing a test.

Grab a pair. I’ve been using mine for months and it was awesome to use at the 3-day shooting class at Snowy Mtn Rifles. So much faster than using a Kestrel which I had both with me to compare.
