Remington 700 CDL Boone & Crockett

Then there's my favorite rifle I own. Why I'm not sure but I'm pretty deadly with this rifle in my hand. Nothing fancy just a good old Remington 700. This was a limited production as it was only made for 2 years and not avaliable in the big box stores. Until I started Handloading this rifle would only shot around 1moa. At around 100 rounds I sent the barrel and action of to get cryogenicly treated. Did it help absolutely, however I then tried another box of factory ammo I had not previously tried. Federal loaded with Nosler 130 Ballistic tip. These shot half moa or better for 3 shots every group. Pic is a 5 shot group. Back up and only shoot 3 it shrinks. Ive never had to shoot at a deer 3 times NEVER!!

One I started Handloading I was dead set on getting the 150ABLR to shoot in this rifle. 1moa is all I could get at that time but I killed a deer with my first handloaded ammo a 150ABLR at 2850mv. My current load shots right at half moa. I'm stepping on it pretty good but the gun seems to like it. A Berger 140VLD moving out at 3175mv. Go to Weatherby website and look at there factory ammo for the 270wby. I'm not far off with the 140 vld. I also shot my best group every with this rifle however it doesn't count as I had my Magneto V3 hanging off the end of the barrel. He's a couple groups I've shot.
1st Pic is my current load.
2nd Pic is my best group ever.
3rd Pic is best group I shot with the 150ABLR and it would not repeat. I was trying RL23. I'm going to revisit the 150ABLR but with Either RL16 or H4350 as this gun really like these powders.
