Well new year, new season so naturally new build. Mainly what I wanted was to compare the newer ultimatum deuce to the vudoo and rimx as I currently shoot a vudoo and my buddy shoots the rimx. I also wanted to try a full Canadian build so parts will be;

Ultimatum deuce
Ibi competition contour 22” 1:12 twist
Trigger tech diamond flat shoe
Mdt acc
Mdt ckye-pod
Apex rival 4-32x56

Looking forward to getting this put together, everything’s been ordered so just a waiting game now!

Well with ultimatum being… well ultimatum we have decided to drop this idea and go with vudoo 360 build. The rest is the parts will be the same/similar. Ibi 22” straight bull 1.250” instead of competition contour. Should hopefully be wrapped up by June

Well a little update! Things progressed slower then I had hoped and still waiting on final cerekote on the chassis but atleast i am able to shoot it now. A little testing today proved this thing should shoot pretty good holding right around 1 moa at 100 yards. Looking forward to testing at 200 and 300 next week!

I'm starting to think about a precision 2w rimfire these days. Prior to going this route did you look into rifles such as the T1, the Bergara HMR, or a complete Vudoo?

I’ve had a vudoo v22 for a little 1.5 years now and love the rifle. I wanted to try a faster twist so I pieced this one together.

My shooting partner has a rimx, and 2 close buddies have cz 457’s and we see a ton of tikka’s and bergara’s at the competitions and have some experience with both. I have a deuce on the way as well to try but can’t comment on them yet.

Can you share your thoughts between the Vudoo, the Tikka, and the Bergara?

if your going factory then it’s between cz and tikka. I much prefer the feel of the tikka but spent way more time with the cz’s and I believe if I had to give one the nod it would be the cz. They are tough to beat! The bergara is a waste of time in my opinion. While they shoot excellent, and being a 700 footprint is nice, I don’t think they are meant for the competition shooter/heavy use. We are more issues with bergara’s then any other rifle on the line. Luckily the bergara rep shoots with us and has spare parts with him all the time cause they are being used at most match’s.

The vudoo and the rimx are both excellent. The rimx is definitely more finicky from what we’ve seen. The new parts seem to of elevated there main issue which is excellent but prior they had major extraction issues. If the new parts continue to prove solid then I’d say it’s a completely level playing field. The rimx feels nicer but still have to tinker, the vudoo offers out of the box ease and accuracy! The vudoo mags are slightly pickier. If loaded correctly then there isn’t any issues. Out of the box the vudoo is super tough to beat. Accurate, reliable and flat out work. I have 19,500 rounds between the two vudoo’s now over the past 1.5 years and I’ve had 0 failure to fires, 0 failure to extract, 1 failure to eject (yesterday actually).
