My furthest antelope was a 950 yard shot from an elevated position overlooking this valley. Plenty of time to relax, get a good rest, breath and squeeze. The rifle of choice back then was a Remington Sendero in 300 Remington Ultra mag shooting 180 gr Berger fixed with a radial port brake from the same company that makes barrels for the Thompson Contender Encore. They used to accept walk ins for muzzle brakes and rechambering.
Here's the pic from the antelope to the truck on the far ridge, and of course, the antelope.
