Title says it really.

Looking to purchase a Murphy Precision Pic Rail for a new rifle. Cost difference between the two isn't an issue. Simply looking for Pros/Cons or preferences of one over the other.

The rail will be on a Long Action, and will be black with their GunKote coating.

Ti saves a couple Oz of weight. If you don't care about that, steel would be fine.

All I use are the stainless, I tried 1 titanium on an Anti Action and it was slightly heavier than the aluminum rail that came with the action, but it was a more robustly designed rail than the aluminum one.

You will be happy with either.

I use the titanium. It's easy weight savings and doubtful you will ever need to replace it. For the price difference to last the life of the rifle I figure why not.
