The thing that grabs me the most about watching these videos is the realization that the students involved with the project look at nature like a little kid going to a zoo!! Sure, they naturally are WOW'd by the raw beauty and majesty of nature around them and of course they want be apart of protecting it... The problem to me is that they have no clue that we ( humans) are also part of that natural habitat and not above it. IMHO they all need to spend at least a year LIVING in the wild and learn what is to be a hunter / gatherer species by getting their sustenance from nature instead of doing their hunting in a grocery store. That should also be a requirement for their so called professors too! Struggling to survive on your own would be the best teacher here. Only then they just might make some decisions on environmental issues that have some real merit.
