Getting ready for Archery Elk season has me thinking of the camp set up. And, what I want to add to my camp this year.

So let post pics of hunting camps.

Go!

Probably not what your are looking for but that is my last "camp" in the background. My camp this week will be a little different. LOL!

Not exactly "camp" but it's where we go every November.

Admittedly I am not a weekend pack hunter. I really like my Montana Canvas wall tent for a solid camp to hike out from. I dropped it off yesterday for an 8' upgraded entry fly and frame extension. I will have it back in a week and be setting up archery elk camp 1st week of Sept. I will get some pics then. This should be a great addition for a place for the cook stove and to keep the pellets dry for the stove.

I included a shot of my cat getting a bath and was hoping I'd get Broz to blow his coffee out his nose, but not even one comment from you guys! Tough crowd here! Last time I try to add a little levity! :)

I saw that and figured it must have been a bad upload

I saw it and laughed, then my mind went places that could produce a less than family friendly comment. So I zipped it.:D

Got my tent back from Montana Canvas. Service was fast and friendly. If you need a wall tent, this is where I will send you. They added an 8' entry fly to my 12 x 17 Wall Tent. Really adds a lot of usable space under roof. So my fall camp is set and ready for Archery opener this coming weekend.

This year we started out in a wall tent which was a first for me this year, felt like a Taj ma hall or however you say that, huge with lots of room. Then I finished out the season in my new tipi which I just got and felt like I was back at home in my small backcountry tents.

Colorado 2nd rifle elk camp. Weather was dry, cool, and windy for the whole week until a 30" snowfall pushed us off the Sangre de Cristos. Man I swear time flys the higher your elevation is.

Here's some photos of my moose camp where I spend six weeks straight moose or no moose because this is heaven for me. My wife stays for two of those weeks; she wouldn't if I continued to "rough it" so it had to very comfortable, warm, and dry especially. As its turned out it was a spoof for me... I just might have had the only tent with a carpeted floor. The stove is a summer edition; it's replaced by the tenth of September with a real stove. There's been many a change through the years. Maybe I'll post some more photos of my heaven later.
