Here LRO Justin Hyer goes over how to properly re-set your zero stop back to factory specs on the Vortex PST2. In this thread we can discuss or ask questions.

Ok, watched the video And was very informative. I have the same exact scope, so a question. How do you tell that you would need to reset the scope? Do you need to check this setting ever so often? Thanks for posting this info.

I needed to reset it because I had 25 MOA of turret rotation where the reticle wouldn't move. My guess is that I somehow forgot to turn the turret all the way back down before I tried to adjust it. Essentially, resetting it sets the scope back to the full range of travel, so you generally won't need to worry about it.

I followed your instructions, and then proceeded to re-zero my Vortex PST II.

Afterward, I realized I'd made a mistake in the elevation setting, and to correct it, I would have to dial down 0.1 mil. Now in order to make this change, can I just adjust the inner dial, or do I have to start all over by first turning the outer dial fully clockwise?

I ask because the manul says that "It is very important to always begin any sight-in adjustments by turning elevation turret clockwise until fully stopped."

I believe you’ll run the outer turret fully clockwise till it stops on your zero. Then I think you can make the adjustment on the inner turret and rezero. I think failing to run my elevation turret fully down may have been what caused my error in the first place.
