Elk success!

My step son, Jade, had a successful once in a lifetime elk hunt here in ND using my CA Ba Tac in 200 PRC. I loaded 205 Berger Elite Hunter bullets and the shot and performed perfect. His shot was 280 yards.


This hunt was awarded to him from The Outdoor Adventure Foundation as he suffered a major aneurysm and wrecked his truck last year. What an amazing thing for them to do and it was a God send to this young man.

Nice work and huge congrats. That video is the classic footage of How well a heavy fragmenting berger works even on a huge strong bull. They simply don't go far when there is big oil leaks in the broiler room.

Being a Boone and Crockett official scorer myself, I was pretty happy to put a tape on this guy after the 60 day drying period was up-362 gross and 351 net! Bull of a lifetime for this young man!

Jade received the mount back from the taxidermist and it was presented to him at the annual banquet for the foundation. What an incredible memory-and the foundation pays for the mount too!
