Is that a direct flight or broken up with a layover?
That’s approximate flight time from Atlanta to Joburg. So most likely you would have a connecting flight into Atlanta and then the morning after we arrive in Joburg, we fly out to the hunt or near the hunt destination.

I really enjoyed my hunt in limpopo, Very impressed on how we where catered to. I was aware of but still surprised at the high fences, I dont think it effected the hunting with the size of the areas we hunted.
I understand high fences are simply a norm every where in south africa.

I did my first Africa trip for 2 weeks in Zimbabwe. It was a classic safari hunt that included dangerous game. It was a blast using the game scouts and trackers. Took some very fine trophies. Then I wanted to experience the plains game hunts. So couple of years later I first went to Zululand in NE part of SA. I was looking for a nyala . The area I hunted was thick and it took 4 days to find a good one. Also took a very large bushbuck. Then I moved to the Karoo area to hunt the color phases of springbok, bontebuck, blesbok, oryx, wildebeest. The family I hunted with had over 100,000 acres and had only recently opened it up for hunting so I was the only hunter on the property and very fortunate to have found these folks. In summary I would highly recommend any one considering a hunt in Africa to commit sooner than later. It’s a great experience. I also would add that having an experienced PH is a critical part of the planning. Also deciding what animals are important to you will help steer you to the right place. Great place to take your spouse!

Last year, I hunted with Africa Maximum Safaris in the Northwest Province. It was my 2nd time in Africa, but first time to South Africa. I took my CVA Cascade 7mm PRC with my Barnes 175 TSX handloads. I took eland, kudu, blesbok, red hartebeest, and sable. All were one-shot kills except for the blesbok because I hit him a little high on the 1st shot.

Have been to Africa six times on Safari, started in 2015, just returned a few weeks ago from Zimbabwe, took a beautiful bull Elephant, they say he will weigh 80lbs if nerve not too long, side brain shot at 12 yards with a 450 Holland Royal double and a North Fork flat nosed mono solid bullet, have hunted with one outfit three times up on the Limpopo North of Alldays on the RSA/Zim/Bots border, just learned they now have a concession in the Eastern Cape, perfect place to test my 300 PRC with 245gr Berger LRHT's on light and heavy plains game animals.

Namibia
RSA
Tanzania
Zimbabwe

All wonderful places on the continent, I can see reading here, once you go, you get bit, and bit hard ; ]
