Anyone put these 2 together yet? If so what powder? Cant find N570 to try. Probably going to pick up some H1000 and retumbo see how that goes. Any thoughts suggestions?.. which will push it faster? Will see what gun likes. This Christensen Arms ELR does not like Hornadys match ammo with 225s but does alright with their 212s.

Mine is running 2880 with a stiff load of Retumbo and 215ms out of a 26" proof. My barrel hated 215s, 212s, 225s, 208s, with H1000, RL26, and Retumbo. I also tried cci 250s and 215Ms.

I settled on a load using Vihtavuori N570 and the 230 gr Hornady Atip going 2943 fps ave which gave me a .32 MOA group. I was hoping to try it hunting but some reports have me thinking otherwise.

Im developing another with N570 and the 215 gr Berger Hybrid. Working up to max pressure I had better grouping than the Atip actually. Im into seating depth now.

The max load with faint ejector marks was up to 3084 fps at 0.005 off through my 26 inch Christensen Arms Ridgeline. Ive backed it off 2.5 grains to the top of a long node which I hope to land about 3018 fps ave. The depth looks perfect at 0.065 off but I have loads from 0.025 and up that I will test soon.

I havent tried H1000 in my 300 PRC. Im saving that for my 300 win mag with the 215 Berger.

Worked on a load today!
Christensen Arms ELR
300prc (Hornady brass)
230 Berger Hybrid .005off
H1000
2861fps
ES-9
SD-3.74
Group-.66
Have seating depth to try tomorrow. retumbo and reloader 26 when I go get it

Hornady 212 PH ammo
2954
ES-18
SD-8.5
Group- 1.6@100 but it could shoot a 4in 5 shot group at 600y good bad or otherwise thats where me and this gun started.. this punctuation cut off thing can really butcher a post 3rd edit.

Every rifle is different you will need to do load development. Any of the slower powders will be good with the 230. Retumbo and N570 are probably your best bet.

My best and most consistent load is with 72.1 gr of reloader 26 lit by a CCI 250 .5 MOA or better and single digit ES/SD every time (3shots). I got some good accuracy with H1000 & Retumbo using cci250’s around .5moa but ES always seemed to be in the 20-30’s(3shots). Recently picked up some federal gold medal 215M’s along with some N570. With 80.2 gr of 570 it’s about 100fps faster accuracy is about .5-.6 MOA with ES being about 13 with cci250 and 30ish with fed GM 215m. My new charge master lite showed up today I had to try it out so I loaded up some with N570 and shoot a .7moa group at 988y with a 7mph 7 o’clock wind... maybe should have shot a group at 777y to get a few more sevens in there... and after all the testing and shooting I’m still not sure which load to run with I know I’m obsessing over it but i tend to do that.[emoji2371]

Also the load with h1000 above didn’t hold consistency next time around was 60fps slower. It bothered me so I tried a ladder test for velocity again and it looked nearly identical to the first one but when loaded up for 3 shots it seemed to change. i found much better results with R26 so I didn’t dig into it and just moved on.

I tried the Jason baney method like rfurman had suggested when I got the N570 also did it with another gun I had rebarreled and was needing a load for. both gave the same result at 600y as it did at 100y a horizontal group. It did work but wasn’t what I was expecting. just new and a little different for me.

I was using 79gr retumbo or 80.5gr n570 with the 225s. Both were going 2945fps

That’s smoking on the retumbo my gun pressured with less powder then most I’ve hear of velocity matched up pretty slimy just with less powder. Did I mention I don’t care for Hornady brass and can’t wait for ADG to get it to the shelves Haha. not saying I’m going to be throwing in more powder or will be gaining big velocity. I’ve just found it easier to tell when your hitting pressure with good brass rather then soft brass not to mention when you get over your max your primer pocket is basically junk.

i guess it's really out there! lol
Lucky! I should have a couple boxes coming too from Creedmoor Sports. I hope. They never sent me a shipping confirmation and I have a 300 PRC+P to get to. I don't want to jump into that with my old Hornady brass.

I saw that. Hopefully they didn't approve mine and throw it on backorder.

It must have taken some serious case prep to get these cases to chamber. Hard to tell on your photo but it looks like the base is tapered a little. Assume there was some neck turning involved.

Single pass through my sizing die made the neck longer and made a cruch fit in the chamber. 77gr h1000 with 208eldm going 2950ish and great groups for fireforming.

I anneal and neck turn after. Very easy process. And yes the base is blown out to the same diameter as the belt. Looks very weird but no issues and ive loaded brass 10-12 times now.

Are you trimming the case? The WM is much longer than the prc.

Yes I have ADG 300 PRC so it is out there. As far as getting on the waiting list ADG will always fill dealer orders first. If you really want it it is best to call a dealer.

No triming. When i run it through the sizer it kind of pushes/bubbles the shoulder/body section back and out and makes it the perfect length. I believe it also helps with the brass expanding and not creating a "thin" spot leadi g to case seperation

I'd read where a guy was using 8x68S brass. He was getting an inside neck thickening pushing the shoulder back and having to inside neck turn. Sounds like the Gunwerks brass is working for you.
