my broyher wants to buy this 660 remington in 243 given 100 grain bullets how much velocity will he loose over a 22 in barrel.the 660 has the 20 inbarrel on it.rifle will be used on pa whiter tai;ls at under 200 yards

With 2 inches of barrel loss, you will lose approximately 40-50 fps.

My son shot a moose with that same rifle with 100 grain Nosler partition. Worked great!

That's a perfectly fair question if you are shooting a max of 200 yards. Dead deer won't notice the difference.

For 200 yards he'll be fine.

You won’t lose much velocity. Every barrel is different, I cut my 243 down from 24”-18” and lost approx around 150fps
