I think they discontinued that model, the Kenai they carry now looks nothing like that. I know this year they they discontinue quite a few items in their line and brought out quite a few new offerings. The discontinue their Chinook jacket and pants which were my favorite all around combo, kUIU gear gear is defiantly my first choice in hunting clothing, I just wish they would offer some more realistic sizing for regular size people instead of 6'+ athletic fit, Im 5'9 and all my pants with knee pads are almost down on my shins. And Im bigger in the shoulders and chest and some of their 3xxx are too tight. I think they would sell much more, but all in all great gear.

They still make the jacket but it has some changes and called KUIU Kenai "ULTRA" Hooded Jacket now.

Changes are they took off one breast pocket, added cross stitching, and added an padded elastic ring at the cuff.

    I am ordering one soon.

Does mid layer mean there is something that goes over it? If so, what?

Wore mine to town today. LOL This jacket is warm enough for an outer layer much of the time, but for very cold or severe conditions it is thin and light enough to wear as a mid layer with a coat over the top.
