Mutli Shot String Testing With The Christensen Arms Carbon Wrapped Barrel

I am starting this thread for questions and discussion of a video that is going live later today. In this I filmed a 8 Shot String with a Christensen Ridgeline 300WM at 550 yards. I was testing if I would see any dispersion from the heat in the barrel. let me know if I didn't cover something in the video that you are curious about.

Daniel, curious if you have been able to chronograph the factory ammo used in the test, and how the shot to shot variation is (not only velocity but , ES, SD as well), since as you increase distance to target, it becomes more and more critical for load consistency.

I did but itís been a few years ago with this rifle. I would have to retest it to give you numbers. But I remember it was great. If it hadnít I would have found a different ammo.

I think our editor Jose Gardner just tested the Berger ammo in his new Ridgeline and velocity from a new barrel was 2870 fps. I didn't catch the ES though.

I wish I had it written down but I’m 99% sure out of my ridgeline the day i sighted in, I got an ES of 8 across 6 rounds with an average of 2872. That’s a 26” barrel that was brand new. Take that for what you will, but I was highly pleased.

I'm wondering what cheek piece was installed on the ridgeline and where to buy. Thanks
