I just checked my ballistics calculator and I was running them at 2965.

I’ll be honest, I’m not sure where max is in this rifle. It hides pressure really well with ADG brass. This load was in the ballpark of velocity I was hoping for and the brass was on its 4th or 5th firing and still holding primers.

I ended up running RL26 with the 215 Berger. I donít remember the powder charge off the top of my head.

Love the review! I'm looking at buying a new rifle in 6.5 PRC, and I've got it down to the CA Mesa Long Range and the ELR. The primary purpose of this rifle is going to be hunting. The difference in cost is just over $1000. Does the differences in the two rifles justify the extra money in your opinion? I know the weight difference is about a pound between the two. Just need help trying to make this decision. Thanks!

The carbon wrapped barrel is the biggest difference in the price. Plus you will need to add a Pic Rail to the MESA LR so there is $100. Both are great rifles and I believe they have equal ability to shoot well. I like the Brake on the ELR better, but the one on the MESA LR works very well to.
